Who to Invite?
Easter 2017 is just around the corner in a few short weeks! We are excited about planning a
meaningful worship experience on Good Friday evening where we will observe the Lord’s Supper and focus on the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. Then on Easter Sunday morning (April 16th) we will rejoice in the resurrection power of Jesus. Every Sunday we get to worship Jesus and celebrate how He has changed my life is exciting, but there is something extra special about worshiping together on Easter Sunday.
Who are you inviting to worship with us on Good Friday and Easter Sunday? It is not too early to be prayerfully thinking about the people God wants you to invite. So many people are receptive to an invitation to attend church if someone would take the time to invite them. Maybe this is an opportunity for you to reconnect with some church members who have been absent lately and invite them to return on Easter. It may also be an opportunity to invite a family member, a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, or even the people you encounter out in the community. Join me now in praying for an amazing Easter weekend this year and for those whom we have the chance to invite.
I also want to let you know about another exciting opportunity the Sunday after Eater (April 23rd). On this day we will be emphasizing our Small Group Ministry and we want to encourage you to invite others to join us on this day as well. Our Small Groups will meet at 10:30 AM instead of 9:15 AM on this special Sunday and we will not have a worship service that day. Our gym floor is in need of refinishing and repairing, therefore this
process will begin the day after Easter. The process will not be finished in time for us to use the gym/sanctuary that Sunday.
Though we are disappointed to not be able to have corporate worship together, we are excited for the opportunity for our Small Groups to be highlighted. We are encouraging Small Groups to plan breakfast together before, or lunch afterwards, in order to fellowship together. Prayerfully use this opportunity to invite and engage others into one of the most important aspects of our church. Have a great week and we look forward to seeing all of you this coming Sunday.
