With Vacation Bible School just a few days away, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved. In these next few days, please be praying for God to be at work during VBS. This may be the only time that a child will hear about God’s love and what He has done for us.
The theme this year focuses on God’s goodness, no matter what. When life is unfair, when life is scary, when life changes, when life is sad, and when life is good, we can rest on the promise that God is always good. Our children need to know that no matter what, they can trust in the one true God who will never leave them. Throughout this week, we have an opportunity—an opportunity to be a vessel and to love not only on the kids who walk through our doors but their parents and families as well.
On Thursday night, we will be having family night starting at 8:00. If you are available, please come by and help us minister and give them a South Hills welcome.
According to LifeWay’s research of the 25 million people that attended VBS last year, over 155,000 unchurched families connected with a church and over 70,000 people made professions of faith. We have just over 12 hours to teach these children about God. Let’s make every minute count.
