Spring Is in the Air
I love springtime. It means the flowers are blooming, the grass is turning green, the sun is shining down on everything, and the cold weather is finally being left behind. There are many instances and times where we can look around and see God’s glorious creation, but for me personally, seeing everything bloom just makes me stop and stare at everything He has given to us. I fear that far too often we take His gifts for granted and the flowers are just one of those instances.
Yes, flowers and blooms mean pollen and for many that includes itchy, watery eyes, stuffy noses, and lots of allergy medicine. In some ways, that is how life can be as well. If we focus on itchy eyes and running noses, we will miss the flowers and blossoms. But if we can focus on the colors around us and look at the world come alive, everything else fades to the side. We must “fix our eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face. And the things on earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.”
So in this season, I pray for us all to look at the flowers. Keep our minds focused on God and know that He has a plan.
With Love in Christ,
