Dear Church Family,
I would just like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and excitement. You all have always been very welcoming and loving ever since I moved down to Texas, and I cannot thank you enough for making me feel a part of your family. I am so excited to come alongside the parents and teachers in helping disciple the children of South Hills to be children of God, learning about Christ’s love and growing in our knowledge of who He is.
For those of you who I have not had an opportunity to talk with, I would also like to introduce myself, so we can get to know each other more in the near future. Most of you know that Cody and I got engaged last weekend and I am so very thankful and blessed to have him in my life. I was born and raised in Missouri, spending most of my childhood in a small town called Salem. My mom, dad, and younger sister still live in Salem, while my older sister lives in Oklahoma with her husband. God began placing a call to children’s ministry in my life while I was in high school. I was blessed to have been able to begin working alongside our Director of Student Ministries during my junior year and my love for children’s ministry only grew from there. During my freshman year at college, I turned it all over to Him and promised to follow His will for my life and I am so very glad that I did.
I am currently in my last semester of my Master of Arts degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a concentration in Children’s Ministry and while I do love school, it is also very exciting to be done in May. When I’m not reading or studying, I also love crafting, being outside, playing board games, and spending time with friends and family (If anyone ever wants to grab a cup of coffee, count me in!).
I cannot wait to get to know each of you more and more.
